Blood Test

A blood test may be the most accurate type of drug test but it is not one that is recommended in most cases. Collecting the blood sample is rather difficult as you need a health care professional to do it and this would cost money. You also have to send it to a lab for review and that will add up as well.

Blood tests aren’t that useful either because of how far back they can read drug use. For most drugs, it is only a day or two that your blood will hold the drug metabolites in it so a blood test is only good for a limited amount of situations. Some drugs can be identified from a longer time back if used heavily like marijuana but the blood test is still not the best to find the usage.

A blood test would only be good if it is something legal like after a car accident because of the difficulties to collect the sample, get the results, and how inefficient the results will be. The blood test is accurate though so it can be useful for some of the more severe situations. The blood test would not be best for anything in the workplace, at home, etc.
