The more you pay the higher quality the results will be. The really expensive breath analyzers will be a lot more accurate than the cheap handheld ones. For the expensive breath analyzers to stay working correctly, you will have to make sure that you take care of them and fix them frequently. You may also have to recalibrate the device at times. The person that owns the item will also have to be certified to use it also. '

These devices (the expensive and big ones) do weigh quite a bit and take up some room. You have to keep them sitting on a table because it is essentially a table top item. If the device moves around enough for it to shake a little, it can throw it out of calibration. After this, you will have to fix it. Also, every time that the device is used, you will have to use the sterile mouth unit that is included.

The best breath analyzers will always cost more and be harder to use. The table top devices can (in some cases) be used in court as evidence. Handheld and disposable breath analyzers cannot.
