How Long Drugs Stay in your Urine
One of the most common questions asked in relation to drug tests is how long the drugs actually stay in your system. The amount of time depends on what drug test is being conducted to begin with. Let’s take a look at the urine test kits and see how far they can date back. Urine tests are best to find recent drug use because they can’t go that far back compared to the hair follicle test.
The amount of time that a drug will stay in your urine also depends on how heavily and how often you use it so keep that in mind.
Alcohol can stay in your urine anywhere from a day to five days depending on the amount consumed. Crystal Meth can stay in your urine for three to five days. Most barbiturates can stay in your urine for two or three days. Phenobarbital can actually rest in your urine for two or three weeks. Marijuana will stay in your urine anywhere from a day to a week but if used heavily and regularly, it could stay in your urine for up to a month. Cocaine and heroin will only last three to five days in your urine. Morphine will last about two days, just like LSD and methadone. As well, PCP can only last about three days to a week for a single use but if used heavily it could last up to a month.
As you can see, each drug lasts a different amount of time in your urine so when a urine test kit is utilized, the results will date back a different amount of time for every drug.
