Employee Drug Tests
When it comes to testing your employees, you will want to know how exactly you should go about an employee drug test. There are a lot of things that you could do which would make things difficult so you have to be prepared. First off, you should look at how you want the test to be performed.
Lab Test
You can take the test sample at the office and then send it to a lab for review. The laboratory will definitely have more accurate results then a test kit you use on your own. It may take a day or two to get the results but it may be worth it. Labs can also figure out the exact drug that was used to trigger positive results if they occur.
Drug Test Kits
It is really easy for a company to buy a lot of drug test kits and utilize them in the office. Most kits are not that expensive and make for a great investment. The accuracy is almost the same as a lab test would be. The main difference would probably be that the lab test can pinpoint what drug trigged positive results and it can prevent any false positives. Labs will be able to provide full analysis on the urine sample and a normal drug test kit only tells you if any drug use shows up (that was tested for) or not.
If you want to make sure that the results are 100% accurate and it is very important to know what drug caused the positive results, the lab tests would be best. Drug test kits work well if you can deal with that 0.00001% chance of a false positive occurring.
