Pre Employment Drug Test

When you are applying for a new office job, something might take you off guard. The employer may require that you go through a pre employment drug test. Not many people think that you have to get drug tested in order to get a job. Most jobs you wouldn’t but some corporate jobs you do need to complete a pre employment drug test. The drug test is to make sure that the company is making a good investment by hiring you.

Whether it be the obvious, a government job or as a pro athlete, or it’s just an office job at a big company, pre employment drug tests have become a lot popular over the years. Drug tests in the workplace in general are becoming a lot more common as of late. A recent study suggests that around 80% of company owners (surveyed) admit that they have conducted a drug test on their employees at least once.

A study was conducted and the results showed that companies lose $7, 000 on average every year for each drug user that works for them. This is because of the fact that some drug addicts will steal money to take care of their addiction, won’t show up for work, the company has to pay for hospital bills, and more. With this in mind, it is important that companies perform a pre employment drug test.
