Personal Use – Which Drug Test Kit is Preferred?

When you are testing a family member, friend, or anyone close to you, things may get a little emotional. If you finally decide that testing the person is the right thing to do, you have to find out which drug test kit is the right one. When the drug test is for personal use, you will probably be alright with going for a cheaper kit. Let’s take a look at the different drug kits to see which one would work best for personal use.

Urine Test Kit
Urine test kits can be very accurate and the price for a kit is usually around $10-20 so it is definitely not that expensive. Performing the test is rather easy and consists of getting a urine sample then waiting for the results. As far as cheating on a urine test, it is possible but as far as personal use goes, it would be less likely. Urine test kits can reveal drug use for anywhere from a few days to a week after use but a little more for marijuana or hashish if heavily used.

Hair Follicle Test
The hair follicle test is the most accurate of all the test kits that you can choose from. They are rather expensive though and sit between $50-100 per kit and are not really necessary in most cases. Hair follicle tests are best for looking at historical drug use dating months back. While they can look at usage a few weeks prior, it is best for looking at the big picture. Getting a hair sample is still easy and cheating is impossible but you may have to send the sample to a lab.

Saliva Test
The saliva test kits are by far the cheapest as they can be as cheap as a dollar per kit but there are down falls. The kits are only good for looking at possible drug use in the last few hours to few days. The accuracy is a little lower than the other test kits as well. Results are almost instant and getting the sample is easy so for random testing, the saliva test may work best.

You have to figure out what is most important about the drug test kit that you choose to buy but the best kit to choose would either be the urine or saliva test kit.
