Saliva Test
When a drug test must be performed, you have to look at the different types of drug test kits to figure out which one is the best. Every type of test kit has advantages and disadvantages. Taking a look at the saliva test, there are quite a few benefits to using it.
The saliva test (also known as the oral fluid test) is starting to become a lot more common because of the fact that they are easy to conduct and the results are almost instant. The accuracy of the saliva test can be compared to the accuracy of the urine test.
While the saliva test can usually just find drug traces for a few days after use, the saliva test is still very effective. The saliva test can work great for a spur of the moment type testing. Various situations could occur that would make a saliva test ideal. If an employee is acting kind of funny, you can test the person on the spot. Authorities could use the saliva test to test people when they get pulled over even.
How long do drugs last in your saliva?
The time that there is evidence of drugs in your saliva varies depending on the drug and how heavily it is used but it’s pretty much the same for all drugs. Marijuana and hashish can only stay for anywhere from an hour to a day. Everything else (cocaine, opiates, etc) can’t last any more than three days in your saliva.
The saliva test is a great decision though because they are inexpensive as well. The price per kit is only a few dollars and most of the time is under $5 and saliva test kits can be purchased in bulk for as low as $1 per kit. The results are also fairly accurate and it’s not like anyone can cheat a saliva test either.
